 Bringing home a new family member of the four legged variety can be fun, rewarding and a real challenge. We can help your puppy or older dog become a polite and well-behaved member of your family and community.
We are strong proponents of positive reinforcement training methods that bring lasting results in a manner that is fun and positive for both dog and owner.
DOGSmart Training has been using positive training methods since 1991. No choke chains, Martingale collars, shock collars or pinch collars are used.
Our trainers are qualified, experienced and knowledgeable. Five of our trainers are Certifed Professional Dog Trainers - Knowledged Assessed (CPDT-KA). We teach at our DOGSmart Training Centre and in several other locations in the lower mainland.
We have specialized programs such as Puppy SmartStart, Advanced Puppy - Puppy Learning Games, Puppy Agility, Beginner and Petite Pals Beginner. We also have Advanced Beginner Programs called Beyond Basics which include,Tricks and Games, FreeStyle Fun, Come When Called, Out and About Train and Play and Agility (Multi Levels).
Reactive Dog workshops are available for the those dogs needing special attention for behavioural issues.
Approximately 2000 dogs and their families take classes with us each year. Our facilities are clean, spacious and inviting. Learning is comfortable and fun for dogs and their owners.
Teaching your dog to respond to various hand and voice signals will make life easier for you, your guests, the veterinarian and others.
